- In some massage parlors, you also have sex with clients for money.
- That is sex work
- In a massage parlor, clients come to you. You meet them there
- The massage parlor must have a permit for sex work. You don’t have to arrange that yourself
What’s the procedure?
Do you work in a massage parlor where you are paid for sex? That is sex work. Blow jobs, masturbation, fingering and body-to-body massages are also sex.
In a massage parlor, your work will be like this:
- There is a living room where you sit with your co-workers. Clients do not come into that room.
- Clients report to the front desk, where they tell the employee what they want
- The front desk employee tells the clients who the masseuses are
- Does the client choose you? And do you want to work with the client? Then the two of you go to a private room
- You give the client a massage
- Did you agree to have sex? Then you have sex with the client
- The manager of the massage parlor will keep an eye on the time for you. They will let you know when the time is up
- Does the client want to stay longer? If so, they have to pay more
- Does the client want additional services? In that case, the client will pay extra for that. Additional services include everything that you didn’t agree about in advance.
- The client pays the front desk employee. They pay you.
Sometimes, clients phone to make an appointment with you. You go directly to the private room with the client.
Primarily women work in massage parlors. Transwomen sometimes work there as well. There are no special parlors for transgender sex workers.
What do you earn?
The amount the client pays is different in every massage parlor. There are also huge differences in what you have to do for that price. Sometimes it’s just a massage and sometimes the price also includes a blow job or masturbation.
Make sure you know exactly what the prices are and what you have to do for that. Talk to the owner of the massage parlor about that.
There is often a price list on the wall in a massage parlor. It includes the prices for various massages. The price list usually does not list the prices for sex.
The client pays the front desk employee. You do not receive all the money that the client pays. The parlor keeps some of the money because they arrange clients, take care of the premises and do the bookkeeping.
Where?
There are massage parlors all over the Netherlands. They all have their own atmosphere. How much your earn also differs a little..
You yourself can choose the parlor you want to work at. It’s a good idea to check out a number of massage parlors. Choose the parlor where you feel most comfortable.
Most massage parlors only work with female sex workers.
Permit
Are you paid for sex in a massage parlor? If so, the parlor must have a permit from the municipality where the parlor is located. You are not responsible for this.
Some massage parlors do not have a permit to offer sexual services while clients do pay for sex. Do you work in a massage parlor like that? That can lead to trouble:
- The municipality can shut down the parlor where you work. Then you have lost your work location
- Massage parlors that do not have a permit are often inspected by the police. That is often unpleasant. And you don’t earn anything during such an inspection
- Don’t you have a residency permit? Then an inspection can result in you being deported to the country where you come from
Rules
Do you want to work in a massage parlor? You must meet the following requirements:
- You have a residency permit if you are not from the Netherlands
- You are 18 or older. In some municipalities, you have to be at least 21
