Do you have a complaint about the housing association? Find out how you can file a complaint on the website of the corporation your complaint is about. This can usually be done online, by phone and in writing.

Writing a letter? Put the following in your letter:

Your name
Your address
Your phone number (not mandatory, but might come in handy)
The date of sending the complaint
Your complaint (tell as clearly as possible what went wrong, when this happened and who you spoke to. It is okay if you don’t know a name)
What you think the housing association should do with your complaint
Send supporting documents (evidence) if you have them. For instance letters you received from the housing association

Most housing associations will first contact you to discuss your complaint. If the complaint is then processed, you will usually receive an answer within six weeks.

Can't agree with the housing association? You can go to the Rent Assessment Committee (‘Huurcommissie’, Dutch only). The Rent Assessment Committee mainly mediates in conflicts about the amount of rent and service costs and the maintenance of the home.
